I am a believer in Jesus Christ, first and foremost, and first generation American deeply inspired by my Ethiopian heritage.

I founded Mekhoni Hair, a heritage hair care social enterprise, to preserve the ancient hair care and beauty traditions of Raya Azebo, Tigray, where my family has stewarded this knowledge for centuries. Mekhoni Hair exists to share that knowledge and those products with the world responsibly while reinvesting in the indigenous communities the company represents and beyond.
